[There's a disconnect as the blood splashes on his face. For a good few seconds, he stares at Ling-esque person. Ling would never act this irrationally. The same Ling who scolded him for cutting down one of his own family. The one who took over his body when he couldn't manage and brought him to safety. The one who spent all those lonely nights with him.

His shield dissipates in a matter of seconds, blood flowing from his own wound. It's nothing. He can bear the pain. Ling's well being gets top priority. He wraps up the other in both his arms.]

[Removing the sword will do more harm than good. He needs to think fast. Will he be capable of carrying Ling back in his condition? Dying in the process is fine so long as he gets the other in the vicinity of people who can help.

His knees buckle, and he tumbles to side. He purposely falls on his side, keeping Ling out of harms way. It doesn't matter he's dying, he's going to keep him from hurting himself more.

His last words to Ling won't be yelling. The screaming and hitting can wait. He curls up in a ball, clutching his partner and bringing their faces together.]

[It's no where near sobbing, but tears are definitely there.]

But even in this state, even as Greed is crying and apologizing, what he's thinking of is making sure they'll die together. He moves his hand, trying to reach out for the sword— but he's too weak to take it.

When he finally gives up, he looks at the other with pleading eyes. Weak as he is now, his words sound more like a whisper than anything else.]
